Everyone loves the thought of getting a new puppy!! When you are picking your pet, do your research and ask plenty of questions. Sometimes websites can be deceiving or make misleading promises. As you begin this journey, take the time to build a relationship with a breeder you feel is trustworthy. Something that I have learned is that breeders should welcome visitors to their home to meet the Cavaliers and be willing to share documented health information.

At Evesham, you are always welcome! Come on a rainy day and we might even give you a couple of wet, muddy dogs! Our pets live in our home and are spoiled rotten. Puppies are born in my office, which doubles as the nursery, where they are sure to get plenty of socialization.

When the pups are 5-6 weeks of age, they are introduced to mushy food for the first time. Not only do they learn to use the doggie door, but by 8 weeks, they understand “let’s go potty.” Puppies are ready to go to their new homes at 10-12 weeks of age. They have been checked from nose to tail several times by my longtime vet and have had 2 rounds of puppy shots. By this time, they are eating a nutritious kibble mixed with raw food and have mastered the doggie door. All ready for their new homes…all you add is LOVE!

I always love talking “Cavalier” to new families. If I don’t have puppies available, or any coming attractions, I will point you in the right direction. I always ask my prospective puppy owners to complete a short questionnaire because my goal is to place each puppy into a loving, caring home where they will be a cherished family member all the days of their life.
